Heavenly Father strengthen us as we pour out so that You can pour in and lead us as we pour forth in Your name. Amen

Princesses,
This week we begin our 2020 Summer Series. A study pulled from the GO! vault. This was the first bible study presented by GO!. The month was September, specifically September 15, 2015, and the conversation was God's Holy Spirit; His Breath of Life. Sadly, it is fitting that now, five years later, we revisit this study given our current world situation of a respiratory virus (COVID-19) that has been classified as a global pandemic and a national race pandemic that has taken our breath away as we horrifically witnessed a black male, George Floyd, die because his breath was senselessly and unjustly taken from him. But God's timing is perfect. Something's coming. Are you ready?
The Bible tells us in Job 33:4 that:
The Spirit of God has made me;
the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
Ruach ~ wind, breath, spirit
1. God's Ruach.
The term "ruach" is mentioned over 400 times in the Old Testament. The wind, breath, and spirit of God are interconnected and interrelated. Walk with me to visit these references.
Wind
But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided. Genesis 8:1
Breath
Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Genesis 2:7
Spirit
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:1-2
2. God Is Our Breath of Life.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth. Psalm 33:6
When you hide your face,
they are terrified;
when you take away their breath,
they die and return to the dust.
When you send your Spirit,
they are created,
and you renew the face of the ground. Psalm 104:29-30
3. God's Ruach Is Ever-Present.
Remember what I accomplished in antiquity.
Truly I am God, I have no peer;
I am God, and there is none like me,
who announces the end from the beginning
and reveals beforehand what has not yet occurred;
who says, ‘My plan will be realized,
I will accomplish what I desire;’ Isaiah 46:9-10 NET
Dear princesses, know that our God is great. Even now, He is ever-present. His Ruach whether by wind, breath, or spirit is ever-present in you. His breath is our life. He is our beginning and ending. He has no peer.
Thank you, Lord for your ruach. Lord, please breathe on us. In the holy and powerful name of Jesus'. AMEN

Closing Thoughts
Know that through the Holy Spirit you can:
do things you couldn't;
feel things you didn't; and
know things you wouldn't.
