God Sees You

Heavenly Father strengthen us as we pour out so that You can pour in and lead us as we pour forth in Your name. Amen

July 13, 2020

Good Morning Princesses! Let's jump right in this morning!

1. El Roi Revisited

In the story of the patriarch, Abraham, we find in chapter 16 of Genesis the story of Hagar and Ishmael (See, Genesis 16:1-16). If you are familiar with this story, you may recall that Sarai was unable to bare children so she gave her Egyptian slave Hagar to her husband Abraham so that she could build her family. During this time, this was not an uncommon arrangement. However, within this story, there is a twist. What was it? Well, let's just say there can be only one queen in the house. The Bible tells us that Hagar fled from her mistress, but the Angel of the Lord found Hagar and told her to go back to her mistress (Sarai) and to submit to her.

"In the midst of her difficulties, Hagar learned that El Roi (EL raw-EE) was watching over her and that He had a plan to bless her and her son." (El Roi Is the God Who Sees Me - FaithGateway, 2017)

Remember Princess God never takes His eyes off you.

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13

2. My Photo Story

Based on what you have read about Hagar, the conversations thus far regarding the Holy Spirit and knowing that God thinks about you. Take a look at the following pictures. If reviewed together they tell a story (photo story). As you read them in progression, quiet all external thoughts and take time this week to both journal your photo story and pray over your thoughts.
