Heavenly Father strengthen us as we pour out so that You can pour in and lead us as we pour forth in Your name. Amen

Morning Blessings, Princesses!
This week it's all about making time Princesses!
We are thankful to God for His daily blessings and for moving us into a place where we can begin to fellowship with one another. It is in this time of thankfulness that we should also be mindful to not step back into a state of "busyness" (reverting back to our old habits) where we can find ourselves so stretched for time that we are not able to make room for our Heavenly Father.
Yes, we make time to watch our favorite television shows.
Yes, we make time to read a new book.
Yes, we make time to listen to a podcast.
Yes, we make time shop.
Yes, we make time for our favorite sports team.
Yes, we make time to _____ (you fill in the blank)!
BUT this week let's focus on making time each day to just sit in the peace and calm of our Lord. To relax and gain our daily direction from the ONE who know us best.
Ready, Set, Focus, Breath and Exhale!
Are you familiar with the "box breathing" technique? Used by the Navy SEALs, the box breathing technique helps you slow your breathing rate and deepen your concentration. For many people, when they finish performing a box breathing technique they are calmer and more focused.
So today, we are going to practice the "box breathing" technique. Are you complete the exercise, read the following scripture. The goal you ask? To slow down and make time to listen, hear and receive God's daily message to you. We serve a mighty God and He's able! Sovereign, loving, and kind. Thank you, Lord, for who you are and what you do for us each second, minute, hour, day, and year.
The Breathing Box Technique
Let' Practice First- Read the Following Before Watching the Video
Close your eyes. Breathe in through your nose while counting to four slowly. Feel the air enter your lungs.
Hold your breath inside while counting slowly to four. Try not to clamp your mouth or nose shut. Simply avoid inhaling or exhaling for 4 seconds.
Begin to slowly exhale for 4 seconds.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 at least three times. Ideally, repeat the three steps for 4 minutes, or until calm returns.
If someone finds the technique challenging to begin with, they can try counting to three instead of four. Once someone is used to the technique, they may choose to count to five or six. [Stinson, A. (2018, June 1). Medical News Today. (T. J. Legg, Ed.)What Is Box Breathing? https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/321805.]
Are You Ready?
Watch the video and remember you don't have to repeat the steps for 4 minutes. Just try it out for a minute or two and let me know what you think!
Also... when you are done with the exercise, remember to read the verse below.
(P.S. I know it's a kids video, but trust me, it really good and provides a good foundation for box breathing!)
Now read the following:
We love you, Lord. Thank you.
AMEN

Oh, princesses of faith...remember.
Prayer “empowers and ‘charges up’ every other piece so they can be used effectively against the enemy. Without prayer… your armor cannot, will not, be infused with the power that only God’s - Spirit can give."
Closing Thoughts
Know that through the Holy Spirit, you can:
do things you couldn't;
feel things you didn't; and
know things you wouldn't.
