Heavenly Father strengthen us as we pour out so that You can pour in and lead us as we pour forth in Your name. Amen
July 20, 2020
Good Morning Princesses! We're trying something new again this week! This week there are three songs in the GO! Playlist that are also located after each reading. After you listen to the song. That's it! Easy Peasy!
You may notice that at the beginning of each GO! Report there is the following statement above:
Heavenly Father strengthen us as we pour out so that You can pour in and lead us as we pour forth in Your name. Amen
In addition, at the end of each GO! Report is the following statement:
Prayer “empowers and ‘charges up’ every other piece so they can be used effectively against the enemy. Without prayer… your armor, cannot, will not, be infused with the power that only God’s-Spirit can give."
Ever wonder why these two prayers are bookends? Because dear Princesses, there is power in our prayers.
1. Power In Jesus' Name
In fact, as children of the Almighty, we can go boldly to the throne because our High Priest and big brother has already paved the path for us through His death (for our sins) and resurrection (praises be!). Hence, when we pray, we do so in Jesus' name.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16 (NLT)
Listen to: The Prayer
2. Power of the Holy Spirit
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we know how and what to pray. As the Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 8:26 (NLT):
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
Listen to: Alabaster Box
3. Empowers our Daily Armor
There is power in our prayers. In fact, only through our prayers can our armor be fully charged with the power of the Holy Spirit to fight our spiritual battles.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)
Listen to: See A Victory
As we move into Week 7 of Breath, let us recognize that because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross and with the help of the Holy Spirit we can come forth boldly in prayer. With these recognitions as our bookends, let us come in prayer with an open heart and raised hand exhibiting humbleness, repentance, yielding, and understanding so that we will be able to hear, receive and do as God requires in Jesus' name and the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen
4. My Photo Story
We will continue the photo story next week, but with a twist. Here's what I need. Please email to godsopportunity.canton@gmail.com one picture of a scripture that you've prayed upon over the last month.
For week 8, I will compile a GO! photo story that will serve as our prayer story for the week. Looking forward to receiving your pictures!
