Morning Blessings, Princesses!

This week, we are talking Fashion! Yes, fashion. No need to start looking through your wardrobe. In fact, today we are going to take a slight detour from the normal conversation starters around fashion. Ready? Set, GO!

Upgrade Anyone?

Are you familiar with the tax-free holiday?

According to an April 2021 article in The Balance entitled Tax-Free Holidays,

"sales tax holidays," are great opportunities for shoppers to purchase items tax-free, such as clothing, school supplies, shoes, and other savings". Even if you don't live in the state, a person can still partake in the tax-free holiday.

For those of you that are excited shoppers, Ohio's tax-free holiday occurs in August 2021! However, there's another upgrade to share with you this week and it's found in Colossians 3:12-17. Take a look:

12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile

When you are clothed with God's articles, what's next? Colossians 3:16-17 tells us to:

16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
